The South Australian Young Property Professionals (YPP) group was formed in 2007 as an "under 35" interest group of the Australian Property Institute (South Australian Division). Membership includes undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Bachelor of Business (Property) at UniSA, and young professionals currently working within the property industry.
The YPP provides the opportunity to catch-up with fellow members as well as offering networking and educational events to improve professional and social interaction amongst peers and providing students and post graduates of the Property degree at UniSA with a forum to establish professional networks within the property industry. The API has been a strong advocate for developing a stronger link between graduates and the industry.
The API in 2007 asked all younger property professional to come together and form nationally. The YPP groups across the nation meet to talk about the profession, new ideas, education issues, young member concerns and future direction of the Institute. The API allows the group to operate autonomously, promote themselves, conduct events and most importantly provide a voice to the API in its approach to the property industry.
Our goal is to provide stronger links between graduates and industry while offering networking and educational events to improve professional and social interaction amongst peers. YPP events are open to non-members of the Australian Property Institute and are often excellent opportunities to network with young professionals from outside the property industry.
We encourage student and further professional membership of the API: www.sa.api.org.au
